We currently have a number of users who will be supported via LANDesk Service Desk but do not have a network account. These users will access LANDesk via a shared PC.
- We have considered creating AD accounts so that we can use LDAP authentication. However this means we now have to manage AD accounts and passwords for those users. However, we do not want these users to have the ability to logon to the network.
- Another consideration is to create accounts in LANDesk only and allow end users to set their own password. The only issue here is that it is not possible to force users to change their LANDesk password on login. Creating a security concern for the system.
Any suggestions of how other customers have managed supporting users in this situation much appreciated,
Thanks
