We tried that a couple of times and cleared out all error scan folders and the incoming folders but did not really help. Processing itself never stopped it just would slow to a crawl and back up.

We only have Data Analytics installed on our roll up core so it would not be applicable in this instance.

At the time the keyvaluesstringarray table had a really high count and was forcing a lot of full scans. Processing itself seemed to be more of an issue though. We turned on the logging that would show the start and finish of processing an inventory scan. An example 5MB scan was taking over 4 minutes to process.
Basically our core ran like crap for a week. That keyvaluesstringarray table has gone down to a more typical percentage for our load and everything has been stable since.
