We ran into the same thing
tried the reg hack but it would not work...

Steps to resolve:

If you’ve already closed out the installer after getting the error, complete this step, otherwise, skip to step 2.

1. Completely remove install files, including C:\ProgramData\Landesk, C:\Program Files(x86)\Landesk, and the registry entries under HKLM\Software\Landesk and HKLM\Software\WoW6432Node\Landesk.

          a. I also removed the extracted installer and re downloaded the source files from Landesk. 

          b. Restart the install.

1. When the installer gets to Setting Up Datamart, it will give an error that may be hidden behind the setup window. Don't close the installer. Instead, make the following registry change under HKLM\Software\WoW6432Node\Landesk\ManagementSuite\Core\Connections\Local
   1. Change the server key’s value from SERVERNAME to SERVERNAME,PORT_NUMBER
2. Click ok on the error prompt, then click Try Again in the setup window

if your core is x86 then registry would be HKLM\Software\Landesk\ManagementSuite\Core\Connections\Local
