All good points, Tanner.
I had the LANDesk zero touch and PKI working on our core in 9.0 SP3, but AMT services in LANDesk were overwhelming the core server. I just had no choice but to shut it off. If there were a way to run it on a server other than the core it would be markedly better for us. I will give you the one on ease of integration. We use a GoDaddy cert for vPro and that made it easier, except that it provisioned EVERYONE. I only wish to provision a few at a time and then increase to the full enterprise so that I can monitor impact (that is assuming there were a means by which I could control the AMT for LANDesk services - so that they do not overwhelm the 9.5 core like they did the 9.0 SP3 core (I think that someone mentioned that had been corrected in 9.5).
I have not given up on the LANDesk solution, rather I was hoping to offload tasks from the core so that I do not have to expand it. Sadly it looks like I am going to have no choice than to do just that. We have become so very dependent upon our LDMS, adding new features and processes, it may be time to consider bolstering the capacity of the core server (number of processes handled, speed of transactions, that sort of thing.
